Kohl's Cares for Kids (children's foundation... they sell 4 books & stuffed animals to go with the books for $5 each) are Winnie the Pooh... and all the books have a nature theme with 2 songs in the back and a nature activity (not in lesson plan form but a start!)!
Winnie the Pooh: Somebody's Treasure (about reusing items)
Winnie the Pooh: Roo's Big Nature Day (about being bored then going outside and doing amazing fun things)
Winnie the Pooh: Nature's True Colors (about enjoying the beauty of fall and then finding pollution in a stream and investigating where it comes from and cleaning it up)
Winnie the Pooh: One Special Tree (about how everyone enjoys something from this large tree that is wilting because of no rain so the friends take care of it)
We all know how kids books can be expensive! But these hardcover books are $5 each and support children in local communities and education and health initiatives.

| Kohls must do this often... because someone gave me a 'stuffed' Onceler in May because Kohls was promoting The Lorax with $5 books and $5 stuffed characters. I don't shop at Kohls often... but that is pretty awesome and might stop by more often if I can get cheap books!!

We had a Kohl's gift card for $10, but my husband insisted on buying a belt instead of letting me use it for the Kids books. Shame on him!

They do it about every quarter.
And it was a Lorax! Not the Onceler. :-)
Every quarter (or there abouts) Kohls for Kids does 4 books with 4 stuffed animals to go with the books. Each time, each book and each stuffed animal is $5.

| Ah yes... you are correct Betsy... I misspoke (typed!). We had about three sets at our state EE conference. Good to know that they do it about every quarter - I don't shop at Kohls often but would for great gifts like these.
